Vital Records

The Lake County Vital Records Department is located within the Recorder’s Office in the Lake County Courthouse.

The department operates as a Local Issuance Office authorized by the Minnesota Department of Health Office of Vital Records to issue certified birth & death records, marriage licenses and marriage certificates, record ordination credentials and notary commission registrations and is a repository for Military Discharge Records.

Recorders Office/Vital Records Does Not Process Passports
