Information Search

In addition to the online access referenced above, the Real Estate Records in the Lake County Recorder’s Office are all open to the public. Anyone is welcome to conduct property records searches in this office using a public terminal powered by Document Pro software as well as with our blind Tract Index and original older paper records.

Our staff can give you a brief tutorial on how the records are kept but since recording documents is our priority, we do not have the time or staff to do searches for you. Searching out information such as easements, liens and severed minerals can be quite involved and would be in your best interest to contact a local abstract company for assistance.
