Press Release – Truck Fire
On July 12, 2020 at approximately 0838 hours, Lake County Dispatch received a report of a truck on fire on the Prospector UTV trail off the Kawishiwi Trl. The truck apparently was involved in a crash and struck several trees, causing it to start on fire. It appears to be a full-size Chevrolet extended cab truck. The driver and only occupant of the vehicle perished in the fire. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office and the State Fire Marshall are still investigating the accident and fire, trying to determine the owner and occupant of the vehicle. If you have any information related to the accident, either the possible owner of the vehicle or the possible occupant of the vehicle, please contact the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
